Right of withdrawal

1. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal you must inform us by an unequivocal statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form reproduced below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.

2. Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested that the performance of services begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you communicated your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract (section 357a (2) BGB).

Purchases are handled by Link (Sold through Link, LLC), a Stripe service, as merchant of record; we arrange the reimbursement through Link to the means of payment you used. You may also declare the withdrawal to Link support (link.com); the "Withdraw from contract" function on this page and the ways named above remain available in every case.

3. Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

For a contract for the supply of services, your right of withdrawal expires once we have fully performed the service and only began performing after you gave your express consent and at the same time confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal upon our full performance (section 356 (4) BGB).

A running subscription is not fully performed. Your right of withdrawal therefore remains for the full 14 days; if you withdraw within that time you owe only the proportionate amount described above.

For a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium against payment, your right of withdrawal expires once we began performance, you expressly consented to us beginning before the period expired, you confirmed your knowledge that you thereby lose the right, and we provided you with the confirmation required by section 312f (3) BGB (section 356 (5) BGB).

We collect both statements from consumers in the checkout through two separate boxes, neither of them pre-ticked; in the first box you also confirm that you know that on withdrawal you pay a reasonable amount for the service provided until then (section 357a (2) BGB). Without both boxes no order can be placed. Our server checks them and stores the time, the wording version and your user id with the order; the confirmation page after the order names your consent again.

5. No right of withdrawal for businesses

The right of withdrawal belongs to consumers within the meaning of section 13 BGB only. If you order as a business within the meaning of section 14 BGB — we ask you explicitly in the checkout — there is no statutory right of withdrawal. The cancellation rights in section 7 of the Terms of service are unaffected.
